The problem

Water was getting in at a roof vent.

The work

We removed the shingles around the vent and inspected the decking. We laid ice and water shield on the decking, tucking its top edge under the existing underlayment so water runs over it. We set the new flashing in sealant, installed it, and sealed its top edge over the nails. Then we installed new shingles and sealed the surrounding area.

The result

New flashing and shingles around the vent pipe, checked for leaks after completion.
