Confirm system details
If a CertainTeed roof system or FORTIFIED Home™ program requirement applies, confirm eligible materials, installation details, documentation, registration, evaluator coordination, and current written terms before materials are ordered. For shingle roofs, we typically recommend CertainTeed and GAF 30-year shingles. We do. When a permit is required, we get it.

Roof condition and problem areas
Loose shingles, storm damage, spots where water gets in, roof edges, valleys and low-slope areas can be photographed so the problem is easier to talk through.
Prep and hidden details
Underlayment, valleys, transitions, decking and roof-wall details can be documented before the finished roof covers them.
Finished roof work
Finished rooflines, metal panels, copper flashing, EPDM areas and cleanup can be photographed for a record of the job.
Owner review notes
When the job is photographed and documented, the final walkthrough is easier, especially for rentals, businesses and owners who can't be there for every step.

What to expect before, during, and after the roof work.
Does every job include hand-nailing?
No. We hand-nail only when it's in the agreed scope. When it is, we place each nail deliberately and check its placement and depth.
Can every roof receive CertainTeed manufacturer warranty coverage?
No. CertainTeed manufacturer warranty availability depends on the selected materials, full roof system, installation requirements, registration, property type, transfer rules, and CertainTeed's written terms. We'll talk through current manufacturer warranty options before we order materials.
Do you offer a warranty on installations?
Yes. Installations include a one-year warranty covering labor and materials, in addition to the standard manufacturer warranties.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. We carry workers' compensation and general liability insurance.
Who handles roofing permits?
We do. When a permit is required, we get it.
Are you FORTIFIED certified?
Yes. The official FORTIFIED Provider Directory lists Vera's Roofing as Compliant and Gustavo Vera as an Active Roofer with Provider ID R012048. Wind, Hail and Hurricane certifications are listed.
